Quite a few substance abuse consultants declare that wine, beer, and liquor advertisements produced by the media are a fundamental reason for the proliferation of teen alcohol abuse.
Other alcohol addiction experts claim that the increase in youth alcohol abuse is due to the toleration and ease of access of wine, beer, and liquor in our society. Still other alcohol abuse consultants argue that more than a few of our young people engage in destructive drinking due to the increased anxiety that they go through.
From a somewhat different outlook, because both parents in quite a few families work full or part-time, the lack of parental supervision without a doubt has to play a fundamental part in the spread of teenage alcohol abuse. And as a final point, an assortment of alcohol addiction professionals articulate that the expansion of adolescent alcohol abuse is due, in some measure, to our lax society.

Essentially, this means that the worse the coping skills, the greater the rate of alcohol abuse. To the degree that this is a correct allegation, why isn't coping skills instruction an essential part of the academic curriculum in all of our junior high schools, elementary schools, and high schools?
Let us construct a scenario for the purpose of clarification. Let us imagine a society in which all individuals are trained how to achieve superior coping skills all the way from kindergarten up to and including their senior year in high school. In such a society, when life gets difficult, students who are "coping skills experts" will be able to respond in a more healthy and more creative way, as opposed to others who fail to apply their coping skills.
Stated more precisely, students who demonstrate first rate coping skills will be more able to think proactively and exhibit excellent decision making as opposed to teens were unsuccessful in their attempts to develop first-rate coping skills, resort to the "quick fix" of unhealthy and excessive drinking.
What would happen in the above "ideal" society, additionally, if teenagers not only received top shelf coping skills education but also got an outstanding education that emphasized the long term and short term destructive results associated with drug abuse and alcohol abuse? Such an emphasis on teenage alcohol and drug abuse facts, along with more highly developed coping skills education, it is advocated, would help teenagers avoid the noticeable appeal related to teen drinking and, consequently, would significantly lessen the risky drinking behavior displayed by adolescents in our country.
There are positively a number of justifiable reasons why so many of our adolescents drink in a hazardous manner. Such a complex subject demands a wide-ranging and more applicable response by our parents, politicians, students, and educators so that our teenagers can learn how to cope with life's predicaments in a more rewarding and responsible way rather than gravitating to abusive and unhealthy drinking to solve their difficulties.
